What is a Drain Tile Test?
A drain tile test is a diagnostic assessment that is utilized to determine if you have a drain tile system, what type of system and the level of function of the interior and or exterior drain tile. This is often done by technicians opening approximately two to four small holes in the basement floor and visually inspecting for obstructions (shale, roots, coal ash, clay mud, standing water, iron ocher, etc...). A water hose pressure test and or Spud test may also be done to analyze water flow through the system. Based on the test results we will formulate specific recommendations and or repairs necessary for maintaining a dry foundation/basement.
